On October 28 the Greek people refused to capitulate in the hands of Benito Mussolini. 70 years later, the national holiday is celebrated with a parade of students and family lunch. GRReporter attended the official celebrations in the district of Maroussi and talked to ordinary Greeks about the meaning of that date.


Athens Xclusive Designers Week, Spring-Summer 2011

Athens Xclusive Designers Week was opened for the eighth consecutive year in Athens. Now like previous years, the international fashion week, held from 23rd to 26th of October, presented important names from the world and Greek fashion. The Athens Xclusive Designers Week podium excited the residents and guests of the capital with the latest design trends for the 2011 spring-summer season. The event did not escape the lens of GRReporter. The media found a front row for the presentation of Christine & Joe’s collection.


Olympiakos with a loss from Bamberg

Olympiakos basketball players prove weaker than their German opponent Bamberg and lost in Germany 61-73. The last evening performance of the white-reds showed they will have to work harder if they want to improve their team’s image. They will have to work harder and if they want to improve their position for the second round of the Euroleague. Something they could not do in Bamberg.


Employees in the field of culture want new permanent appointments and closed the Archaeological Museum

The 24-hour strike of the temporary employees at the Ministry of Culture continues second week in a row. Yesterday permanent employees joined their colleagues to support them and closed major museums and archeological sites in the country till 12’oclock at noon. The strike involved archaeologists, restorers, technicians, security guards, receptionists and labourers.
