Between 10 years in prison and a life sentence may be the punishment for two 24-year-old Bulgarians who have kidnapped, sexually molested and forced into prostitution three young girls, also from Bulgaria. One of them is 20 years old and of proven mental retardation.

The main victim of the economic crisis is the small business in the country. Lost jobs are registered mainly in commercial enterprises with fewer than 10 employees. Over 90% of the 30,000 unemployed are from companies operating in the retail sector and the rest have suffered from reduced demand in car trade.
