The General Manager of the Institute of Economic and Industrial Research Yiannis Stournaras stresses that such a drastic reduction in the value of Greek government bonds would hit local banks the hardest.

According to some sources, the Greek Prime Minister will offer Antonis Samaras a scenario for mutual government, although he has previously rejected this option.

Despite the strong participation, a significant part of Greek journalists oppose the media strikes that aim to "save" their colleagues working in the public media. They will continue their protest actions in the coming days.
