Petrol stations owners declared themselves against the fuel prices ceiling while the carriers of fuel for public use keep the government in suspense on whether their protest will turn into an active strike. At the same time, the Prime Minister George Papandreou is preparing to leave the country for ten days.

More than 1 million children study at least one foreign language each year. Students and parents of students rely very much on the private language schools in addition to the school and university classes. The data of the Ministry of Education shows that the Greeks spend more than 440 million euros to study foreign languages every year. And there are more than 7350 language schools in the country. The figures, if nothing else, represent how important are foreign languages to the Greeks.
