Driving south on "Poseidon" Avenue, the sea will be on your right, with the following beaches:

  • Agios Kosmas

Small, not that beautiful and separated into two small bays, this beach has two advantages: its close to Athens and is well maintained.

  • Astera Sea Side- Poseidonos 58, Glyfada

Other beaches may have been renovated, this one, however, has gone through utter change. The famous Glyfada beach has been abandoned since the 80s but in the past two years it has turned into the trendiest summer meeting place.

  • Voula Beach A'

This is one of Voula's paid beaches. It has a restaurant, a bar, water sports and is attractive to children with the numerous playing areas.

  • Voula Beach B'

On the other side is Voula's other paid beach where you will be able to enjoy really calm waters.

  • Attiki Akti Vouliagmenis

Just off "Poseidon" Avenue, right after Kavouri, within an open cove, this is a big beach with clean deep waters, also a part from Astir Palace but located on the other side of the nose. When it's windy on one side, the other side is calm.

  • Asteras Vouliagmenis Beach

A part of Astir Palace hotel, surrounded by palm and pine trees, the beach is considered the "pearl" of the region with its natural sands, 300 meters long and 30 meters wide.

  • Varkiza Beach

This is a fully renovated beach, with great waters and soft sand.

  • Grand Beach Lagonissi

The beach is located next to Poseidon' Temple in Sounio and the interesting thing about it is the you will be soon able to swim in a pool in the middle of the sea-water!
