Today in a very successful action the Greek police have captured six suspected members of the terrorist organization Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei. Law enforcement officials believe that three of them are the founders and operational heads of the organization. These are Georgios Nikolopoulos, 25 years old, the Albanian citizen Damiano Bollano, 24 years old and Christos Tsakalos, 32 years old. The other three arrested are Olga Ikonomidou, 31 years old, George Polidoros, 29 years old and Constantinos Papadopoulos, 26 years old.

The four men and the woman were arrested early in the morning on 53 Elispondu Str. in the Volos neighbourhood Nea Ioannia. The police raided the apartment at about 3 o’clock after midnight and captured the suspected terrorists while sleeping in their beds. The sixth was arrested during a police operation in an apartment on  21 Orfeos Str. in the Athens neighbourhood Holargos. A search order has been issued against Nikolopoulos, Bollano and Tsakalos for terrorist activity. The three were charged with involvement in terrorist activities, involvement in bomb attacks and possession and distribution of explosives.

Three AK-47 rifles, six pistols, one revolver, a large quantity of cartridges have been found in the secret hiding place in Volos. Wigs, police uniforms, an armoured vest, police accessories, computers, disks and flash memories have been found too. All findings have been taken to the laboratories of the Greek police for analysis. The ballistics report will show whether the weapons are "clean" or were used in some of the organization’s actions. The report will be ready after midnight.

Mega TV, referring to anonymous police sources, claims that the weapons are "clean" and that the police continue to search for another secret hiding place where the terrorists keep the explosives as well as the weapons already used.
