According to the US Bloomberg, Greece has seemingly earned very little at the Eurogroup meeting, but it might just as well be sufficient for the time being
Greece remains in the Eurozone, committed to repay its debts to creditors. The government must submit a package of measures by Monday; the remainder of the last tranche amounting to €7.2 billion will be extended following an evaluation of the package.
In these countries, society was totally estranged from the system, it longed for a radical change in it, whereas in Greece the majority of society lived well in it and it has no interest in reforming it, as stated by a leading Greek economist.
For his part, Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said, "I hope we will come to an agreement. I am sure we will have a collegial conversation today and hope that white smoke will come out in the end."
Readers of the Bulgarian and English pages of our site still believe in the election promises of Tsipras according to which he will hold a firm and uncompromising policy towards the lenders. Our Greek readers are much more realistic.
After the meeting in Paris, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande expressed hope that the negotiations would develop positively. Angela Merkel stressed, "I am not aware of a scenario that involves Greece’s exit from the euro zone."
