For a fourth night Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities are hostages of
chaos. Police shots were heard during the funeral of the 16 year old boy
Alexandros Grigoropoulos.
At 3:30 pm today is the funeral of the 16 year old boy. After that there
will be more demonstrations; schools and universities throughout the
country will remain closed as a sign of mourning.
Tonight the ministry council has an extraordinary session; at 9:30 am
tomorrow Kostas Karamanlis will meet the Greek president Karolos
Papoulias. The public opinion fears an extraordinary situation.
Chaos in Athens after the death of 16 year old student; protest wave
drowns the whole country; the results from the autopsy of the boy will be
ready today.
Significant damages were done by the vandals in the Greek capitol after
the death of a 16 year old boy by a policeman. The victim was from a rich
family and was not a member of any anarchist organizations.
In self defense a policeman shot deadly a young anarchist; left
organizations organized riots in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patra and left
after themselves fires and destruction.
