For whom to vote?

Let me start by stating the certain "no’s" because there is a problem with the "yes".

So, I will certainly not vote for Golden Dawn or the Communist Party. It is not even necessary to explain the reasons.

This year, however, we have a fresh version of the Communist Party, which is Popular Unity (of Panagiotis Lafazanis who has disaffiliated from SYRIZA - translator’s note). It might be worth investigating the matter. "In the end" (a classical Marxist phrase) there are minor differences between them. Both promise retro things: a Soviet-style paradise with a centralized state outside the European Union and the euro zone.

Interestingly, all economists, supporters of the drachma focus on the second phase of the project, which is when we build a new economic system based on the advantages of our own national currency. They quickly pass over the first phase (simply accepting that it would be "difficult") when we will end up in an uncontrolled default, having no essentials. They remain silent about the 99% likelihood of the patient dying during the first stage of the treatment. Because I do not want to rely on that likelihood of 1%, I exclude Popular Unity.

The two strongest parties ever since the two-party system are almost dead. I can imagine their leaderships in a melodrama of Finos Film production company under the title "The fat trucker and blond heiress."

Independent Greeks? The only thing they offered was pathos, both nationalist and anti-memorandum. All offer nationalism, some better, others worse. As for the memorandum, all without exception have voted for it, without even some reservations about the wording! They have just buried themselves.

Small parties: Vassilis Leventis (leader of the Union of Centrists - translator’s note) is nice and we all owe him an apology. When he spoke reasonably and logically, we sent pizzas to him. However, he is totally out of time.

I have two options: SYRIZA no longer exists, there is only Alexis Tsipras. (I have not seen such a leader's party). Should I vote for him? For whom though? Should I vote for the one who simply does not do what he promises or for the one who does the opposite at that? Or for the one who turns 38% into 62? He is not running, he gambles. Does anyone know who he actually is and in what he believes? Because what he says and promises is not at all reliable. Yes, he is a charismatic personality (I think I was the first to write about this). But what does he offer?

With the Potami party, one knows where he is. This is the party of reason. It has the best staff and leader who may not be glamorous but he is a reliable man. And although they accuse him of the opposite, he has a programme.

Unfortunately, Potami will hardly receive the required number of deputies to govern. Whoever heads the state, however, will need a great deal of sound judgement and a team of talented people. So,…
