In another address to the Greek people in the course of a few days, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras urged voters to support the negative vote in the referendum on Sunday.

He was adamant that it would not raise the question as to whether Greece would stay in the euro zone or leave it, "but whether under pressure from blackmailing we would accept the continuation of a policy that creditors even recognized as hopeless, whether we would agree to the slow death of the economy and the impoverishment of society, whether we would accept to reduce pensions to pay an unsustainable debt."

Citing the new IMF report on the state of the Greek economy, according to which the public debt is not sustainable, Tsipras said that the representatives of creditor institutions had never presented that opinion of the IMF to the Greek negotiators.

Both at the beginning, and at the end, of his address, he urged Greeks to vote calmly and without a sense of division in society.

The Greek Prime Minister will address the supporters of his policy again at 09:00 pm when he will speak at the demonstration organized by the government in favour of the negative vote in the referendum.
