Early in the morning, SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras sent letters to European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Union Herman Van Rompuy and President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi. He invited them in the letters to adopt a new plan for Greece, based on development, creation of jobs and social protection.
According to reliable sources, Tsipras stated that the obligations accepted by the previous Greek government become invalid from the moment the Greek voters declared themselves against the policy of the memorandum with their vote.
The leader of the radical left emphasized that the parties, which signed the guarantees for the implementation of the programme for financial recovery - New Democracy and PASOK, currently represent only 33% of Greek citizens.
