Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will convene an extraordinary session of parliament at 6:00 pm tomorrow, Friday, to inform MPs about the course of negotiations with creditors. As we have reported, Tsipras met with Presidents of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem last night in Brussels. Both sides presented their proposals for an agreement that proved to be too different.

Today even cabinet members expressed the first negative responses to the proposals of creditors to increase VAT and liberalize the labour relations and to all proposals from Brussels, Frankfurt and Washington in general. "An undeclared but real war is being waged against us, not with troops on the borders but through all modern means available to aggressive capitalism," said Minister of Employment Panos Skourletis.

The expected meeting of Alexis Tsipras with Jean-Claude Juncker that has been scheduled for tomorrow is not yet certain. It may be postponed to another day because of the session of parliament that the Greek Prime Minister has announced on his official Twitter account. The Greek media do not exclude the possibility of him requesting a vote of confidence from parliament tomorrow.
