Interestingly, the roofs of the cattle sheds were found miles away, which indicates the power of the tornado that hit the area, where such phenomena have recently become frequent. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

A tornado caused problems in Komotini too. The fire brigade data show that strong winds had demolished tiles, iron sheets of houses and agricultural warehouses, thus damaging people's yards, and cut off cables of the national  electricity company, causing problems in the power supply.

As reported by thrakitoday.com, a 47-year-old motorcyclist had lost control of his motorcycle during the tornado and hit a pole of communications company OTE. As a result, he was slightly injured and has been taken to the local hospital for medical assistance.
