It is a well-known fact that highly educated professionals receive the highest remuneration in the world. A piece of research carried out by experts from CareerCast, an international company operating in the field of career consulting, shows that there are also well-paid jobs that do not require a university degree. In all cases, the employees must have completed an educational level and specialization.

The research included 200 occupations that were compared with data from government agencies, professional associations and other similar sources. The result is the following list of the 10 most high paying professions that do not require a university degree.

Telecommunications technician

Nowadays, everything passes through telecommunication cables, antennas and installations that require continuous and careful support around the clock. The specialists in this area are trained at secondary schools and technical schools.

Aircraft mechanic

Aircraft parks are steadily growing and it is expected that the number of people who use air transport will increase by 35% over the coming years. That means more aeroplanes that will need maintenance and more technicians with higher pay. The training in this area takes place at secondary schools and colleges.

Respiratory therapist

This profession is not particularly popular in our part of the world and is equivalent to the work of a physiotherapist, but in terms of respiratory diseases. The professionals show patients different exercises that toughen the respiratory muscles and improve secreting. Such specialists are in particular demand in the United States.

Specialized technicians

Plumbers, electricians, automotive, motorcycle and boat mechanics, refrigeration technicians, heating technicians, etc. are the people who maintain and repair our homes and vehicles. Their training takes place at secondary schools.

Policeman

This profession provides security and good insurance for police academy graduates.

Fashion or retail buyer

This person decides on the products that should be supplied to a shop, actually foreseeing the fashion trends in the coming months. In fact, this person defines what will be fashionable next season. This job requires no special training, only experience and good performance.

Web designer - programmer - developer - coder

The opportunities available to these specialists are limitless, from creating websites to smartphone applications and from formation of databases to specialized software development for various companies. The sector is full of many sub-specialties and everyone can find their job opportunity.

Nurse

This is one of the occupations with the greatest shortages across Europe. Accounting for the fact that, in demographic terms, age limits are increasing, the demand for such specialists is not going to decrease. The profession offers excellent opportunities for career development and travelling if combined with a knowledge of foreign languages.

Farmer

Modern technology allows the production of specific products such as gluten-free and consumers are increasingly turning to organic products. These are just some of the opportunities that present themselves to young people who want to go into farming.

Aircraft pilots

According to forecasts of Boeing airline, the industry will need 500,000 new pilots until 2032, 200,000 of whom will work in Asia and about 80,000 will operate flights to and from China.
