The game between the football teams of PAS Giannina and Panathinaikos which was played on the Agii Zosimades stadium in Giannina ended with a final score of 0:0. In spite of the fact that the team of Panathinaikos did not managed to score a goal during this game it still qualified for the finals of the cup of Greece. The game between PAS Giannina and Panathinaikos was the second meeting of the two teams within the frames of the championship for the cup of Greece. The previous game which the two teams played was at the OAKA stadium in Athens and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the team of the greens. In such way this knockout game took PAS Giannina out of the fight in the finals.

Unfortunately the game did not offer a particularly interesting view for the audience – in the play of the teams lacked dynamics. The first 25 minutes did not bring anything substantial on the field. Both of the teams seemed to lack strong desire to play and they had a hard time creating opportunities to score. The greens did not manage to create such opportunity and finish it with a goal. Two attempts to score made Cisse, however the ball reached far out of the goal post of Zafeiropoulos. It made some impression that the team of the greens did not play the ball very well and had problems passing it. The ball had hard time reaching the feet of the French forward and as a result it was difficult for him to make further attempts to score.

The hosts were the ones who were at the edge of winning in the first half of the game. From the 28th until the 32nd minute (for 5 minutes) they had 3 chances to score. The attempts for a goal were made by the player Kontogoulidis. All three attempts he made with a head shot, however at the end they were unsuccessful – the ball was either hitting the bar of the goal post or it was an out. As a whole the team of the hosts was striving for more opportunities to score and was showing more enthusiasm when playing on the stadium. For this were contributing especially the 5 500 fans of the team who had gathered there.

This time however also did not lack unpleasant acts on the part of the football fans. The game was interrupted in the first half as they threw tear gas on the field.

In the second half of the game the play of the teams was at even lower level. The teams hardly made any attempts to score. Instead of this on the field there were fights which the referee put to an end by suspending from the game the players Sarieghi (Panathinaikos) and Kotsios (PAS Giannina).
