Fire broke out at a synagogue in the old part of Haniya. The fire broke out under the staircase of the building, which leads to the library. Firemen managed to control the fire before spreading and affecting the surrounding buildings. An investigation is held to establish the cause of the fire.

The library of the Jewish temple in Haniya holds more than 1 500 rare titles. Although the flames did not reach the valuable books it is very likely a lot of them have been destroyed by the huge amount of smoke and the water firefighters scattered about.

Unknown perpetrators set on fire car dealership located on Vari Boulevard in Koropi.  22 cars have been destroyed. Found at the crime scene was a handmade explosive device. The anti-terrorism services are investigating the case.

Another explosive attack was noted in an Athenian neighborhood. The attack was against the ruling party PASOK bureau in the district of Kalithea. The handmade explosive device consisted of 4 crackers.
