Bathing suits with soft earth colors and bright accessories are the new fashion trends for the summer of 2010. The short dresses out of painted silk and cotton, combined with large printed bags were shown this weekend by the Greek designers at this year’s commercial fair at Femmina. This season again on the beach bars women will be wearing classic wide-brimmed hats, necklaces made out of colorful beans and unusually big sun glasses. These are just part of the leading trends for the next hot summer, which were presented in front of audience and journalists by ten young designers at a fashion show during this year’s commercial exhibition.

A great impression makes the collection of the special guests at the exhibition – the fashion house PARVESH JAI. The creative team is comprised of the two young designers from Indian origin who in 2002 start as designers of traditional Indian wedding dresses. Parvesh and Jai are working hard in the last eight years and have made a good name for themselves as talented and inventive creative artists in India as well as in Europe. Currently they are part of the 25 best designers who use ethnic motives in their collections (Top 20 Ethnical Designers worldwide). The European representation of PARVESH JAI is in Paris and this year for the first time they enter the Greek market. Their models are distinct for their sheerness and color, which carry the breath of the summer freshness. The textures are made out of natural materials and the prints are made by hand with biologically clean paints.

The Blue Coral collection of bathing suits, “parela” and dresses is accompanied by flat sandals painted by hand, which could be worn on the islands as well as in the city in the hot summer days. Here is what the young designers told the readers of GRreporter: “In 206 at a presentation in India a Greek businessman got in touch with us, because our collection made a big impression to him. He is a producer of bathing suits and wished that we prepare a beach collection for him. This was the beginning – initially we found a client and later we prepared the new designs.” About the inspiration and the philosophy of the collection PARVESH JAI are saying “We are part of a society which respects the nature and its power. In our job this is transferred as the usage of exclusively biologically clean natural materials in the workmanship of our models. We do not use synthetic materials as it is fashionable to be done in Europe and the USA. The concept of Blue Coral is inspired by the flora and fauna of the ocean. Starting with the corals at the bottom of the ocean to the little sparrows in the sky, the goal of our collection is to present our interpretation of the beauty and completeness of the nature.”
