Anita and Karvelas arrived with a delay of half an hour at the small church of Politia Tennis Club, where they exchanged vows of eternal fidelity. Rocker Nikos Karvelas chose to dress in simple black suit on the happiest day of his life, and Anita chose a more extravagant dress in bright red.

The first one to appear on stage was the wild jazz diva Julie Massino, who dedicates few songs to the couple and after her the microphone was taken by Levteris Pandazis, Angela Dimitriou and Anna Vissi. Close friends of the groom joked with him as they sang "I will not get married”, which is a song Karvelas wrote himself.
Music at the party passed through rock songs, music of '60's, but guests were entertained with traditional island music and the groom danced for the first time “kalamatiano”, which is considered a traditional dance for men to perform at their wedding. 2-year-old blonde boy of Anita and Karvelas, who has long hair like his father, sat on the drums and amazed all the guests.
