Police search for the Bulgarian owner of an illegal casino

The Greek police have apprehended 38 people in an internet cafe in the Athens district of Kallithea, where they played prohibited gambling games. Seven of the detainees are employees and the rest are customers of the cafe. The authorities are searching for the owners of the illegal casino, a 45-year-old Greek and 33-year-old Bulgarian.

During the search of the ground level and the underground rooms of the internet cafe they have found and seized:

33 computers with a special "slot" software installed on them,

 
3 computers,

4 roulettes,

4 Blackjack tables,

4 slot machines

a cash amount of 11,705 euro,

a large amount of chips for roulette

22 cheques,

5 portable radio stations

1 remote-controlled recorder connected with cameras to control the access to the site.

In front of the illegal casino, the authorities apprehended a 44-year-old Albanian charged with racketeering and usury. According to the investigation, he and his associate, who is wanted too, had blackmailed a 45-year-old Greek to pay them an usurious loan.
