Greek secret services and the Office of fighting terrorism are about to make a big hit, announced Greek media. They have tightened the loop around terrorists' all weak points and are waiting for them to fall in the trap. Similar to the case when a bomb exploded in Sava Skliros's hands and "November 17" was destroyed. The police are literary following every step of "Revolutionary Fight" and "Revolutionary Cult" members and experts from Scotland Yard, MI5 and CIA have been commissioned to Athens for months now.

Unseen before pressure is exercised upon the criminals in order for them to lose control over the situation, make a mistake and fall in the hands of police. Their phone conversations have been tapped, they are being followed, their purchases are being controlled and any information collected is assessed by the greatest investigator brains in Athens, London and across the ocean. Information release in the media is also controlled in such a way that to boost the pressure on the suspects.

The terrorist traps began to be set soon after the American embassy in Athens was fired on with a grenade gun in January 2007, and despite the lack of results specialists are not discouraged. They believe that soon they will be able to see the results of years of work. Work including thousands of hours tapped telephone conversations, assessing and cross-checking information, digging into archives- old and recent, collecting banking data, and even biometrical data  and DNA; names, addresses, phone numbers, contacts, activities.

Consequently, the list of suspect has shrunk to 15 people, kept consistently under observation, and whose names are linked to the events from 1995 and demonstrator arrests when the forces of civil commotions fighting entered the building of the Athens Polytechnic University. The information retrieved back then had turned into the nucleus around which various data collected during the years is added. The large number of protesting arrested allowed the police to gather priceless information regarding the anarchist circles in the country, which later on transformed into terrorist ones.

During the last month the police have advanced into to the attack. Suspects are being watched so obviously in order to either make them lose balance and make a mistake, or undertake a hasty action. Secret agents are especially optimistic about one of the suspects, who often travels inside the country and is believed to soon take the police to his weapon and explosives storehouse. After tapping two telephone conversations in the last two weeks of July and the first days of August, the police averted an attempt on August 7 for some of the weapons and explosives to be transferred to another address in Athens.

The police are after a suspect with the nickname "the tourist", whose prepaid phone card has been tracked from the moment it was bought and activated. Through this card, the voice of the "Cult" member who shot dead policeman Nektarious Savas on June 17 is being tapped. He is known to the police from long ago and they are aware that he would rather die than fall into the hands of antiterrorists. He and another three anarchists had been arrested in the beginning of the 90's. He often appears on the criminal scene without enough evidence for the police to arrest him. He is a suspect in robberies and attempts on policemen lives. The difference is that now the police have evidence.

The "Revolutionary Cult" separates from "Revolutionary Fight" between 2004 and 2005 due o internal friction. Half of them wanted to organize frequent assaults, even though victims might be unknown, while the others believed that the attacks should be not more than two or three per year, at the expense, however, of huge spectaculararity. They could observe their victims for years and patiently prepare their attacks, but once in action they would gather the attention of worldwide media. The others wanted regular and frequent attacks, although with non popular victims and no media attention. English and American experts believe that Greek terrorists are divided into those two groups, with increasing member count, but who never got united.

In regard to "Revolutionary Fight", American services have focused their attention on 10 people who, after close examination of numerous sources, have been identified as main suspects on the American Embassy attack, which is still a mystery. In order for the police to catch them, however, they need to make a fatal mistake.
