With a score of 83-80 in favor of the white-red ended the game from the stage of Final Four of the Euroleague between the basketball teams of Olympiakos and Partizan, played in Paris. Although Serbian Partizan turned out to be a hard nut to crack, white-red were able to overcome it, and gave a reason for great joy of the gathered in the hall more than 5000 fans of theirs.

First minutes of the match began with a dramatic attempt for an attack by the white-red. They played  tense and nervous and aimed at all costs to put the ball into the opponent's basket. They, however were not good at this. The ball was reaching the hands of Sofoklis Shortsianitis who still had not found his rhythm and could not managed to score a point. The remaining players on the team had also not found the right rhythm. Thus, during the fourth minute the Serbian opponent took the lead by 10-2. Laying behind in the score at the beginning of the game felt like a cold shower to the red-white. Shortsianitis pulled himself together and along with Childres managed to win points. Then followed the intervention also of Teodosich and Papaloukas, who won 5 points and so the first set ended with the score 15-17 for the white-red.

In the second set Olympiakos managed to even the score through points of Burusich. His attacks allowed Olympiakos for the first time that evening to take the lead in the result, although by only 1 point (26-25). Thanks to the points scored by Teodosich and Kleyza the white and red progressed further in the score and thus the first half ended with 33-28 in their favor.

The second half brought a changes on the field. The Greek team proceeded to a more coordinated and cold-blooded game. This was also the moment when Shortsianitis found his rhythm. While in the first half, he failed to finish his team's attacks with a point, now came the turning point in his game. Thanks to his points the team was able to keep the lead in the result. Partizan's players hit back the opponent. To its attacks, they answered immediate with a counterattack, thanks to which they managed to cancel any greater advantage in the outcome which the white-red had accumulated. This fact definitely made it more difficult for Greeks and give the game a dramatic flair. The biggest headache for the team of Olympiakos were the players Bojic and Kechman. Kechman managed to even the score and thuse took Olympiakos back to the starting position .... The result was 52-52.

The third set again tipped over the balance on the field. Encouraged by the advantage they won Partizan entered into the game with even greater enthusiasm. Thanks to the points scored by Mac'Caleb and Maric it managed to take the lead with 6 points in 4 minutes. Then followed points scored by Teodosic but also new ones by Mac Caleb... The score became 67-65 in favor of the Serbs. Literally seconds before the end of the match Childres managed to even the score, thereby winning for his team's the fateful extra set ... 5 minutes full of drama, which brought the red-white the dreamed victory.
