The basketball team of Olympiakos became the Champion of Greece after its victory with a score of 68:64 against the team of Panathinaikos in a spectacular and very dramatic game. Full of adrenalin and dramatic moments this game provided the red team this title they dreamed of after eight years of fight… The game which both teams showed was exceptionally good and strong. In the beginning of the meeting Panathinaikos was the team which managed to take the lead – thanks to the player Mike Batiste who took the lead in the fifth minute by 9 – 4. For a moment the white and red team managed to even the score reaching 13 – 13, however almost right away the greens won back the lead. Then followed several strong attacks by the white and red team which ended with points scored… The score was evened again and the crazy battle started again. This is exactly the moment when Olympiakos strengthened its defense, forcing the greens to make mistakes in their desire to play for points.  This fact, as well as the points scored by the player Teodosic managed to take the score to 48 – 38 in favor of the white and red team. This was a critical moment for the greens. Haislip and Perperoglou were the ones managing to score points. Then came few dramatic moments and a “life and death” struggle for both of the teams. The pressure was growing rapidly and the two points scored by Teodosic turned out to be the turning point which lead the white and read team to the final score of 68:64… and also to the title Champion of Greece.
