The second day of Rally Acropolis started at 09:32AM with the special Klenia-Mikines stage.

This morning the Citroen team was discussing the heat and how it can affect the drivers and the cars.

After yesterday’s high temperatures, which in the afternoon reached 40C, the fresh morning breeze was greeted with enthusiasm by the drivers and the technicians in the service park, which is situated on the sea-shore.

The winner of the first day of the rally was Mikko Hirvonen (driving Ford Focus), who finished with a time of 1:27.11,3 hours in the first five of sixteen speed routes.

Second and three seconds after the winner was Daniel Sordo with Citroen C4.

Third is the world champion Sebastien Loeb, who is 21.1 seconds after Hirvonen.
