Pedro Almodóvar's muse will sing in Megaro Mouzikis in Athens

Luz Casal became famous worldwide after the big Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar chose her to sing “Un Ano de Amor” and “Piensa en mi” for the 1991 film “High Heels.”


Through the music, which she recorded for the film, the public discovered Luz Casal’s talent. Until now, she has recorded 24 albums and has millions of sales throughout the world. Luz Casal is the woman who introduced rock music in Spain and at the same time introduced the world the Spain’s contemporary music. She is constantly experimenting with new types of music and cooperates with famous artists – she performs rock ballades, blues and flamenco with her emotional and full-toned voice.


“I sing with my heart and I want to be true in front of the audience, which came to hear me. In order to achieve this, I need to sing in my native language,” says in an interview the famous Spanish performer, who has a voice full of strength and expressiveness.


Luz Casal was born in 1958 in La Coruna and records her first album in 1977. Her first CD has her name and it is followed by tens of others, which are very successful. After recovering from breast cancer, she comes back with the album “Vida Toxica.”
