Pregnant employer died from a bullet when police and thieves were shooting in a Germanos store in Vironas. The 32 year old woman was a cashier in the store. The thieves went in and wanted to rob the cash register, which at that point had only ?300. The employer refused to give the money. In the store, there were two more employers, four clients, one of which was a policeman not on duty. He was there in order to exchange his cell phone.

When he understood what is going on, the policemen interfered in order to try and stop the robbery. Then, one of the two robbers took out a gun and started shooting. One of the bullets hit the pregnant woman in the chest. The policeman also took out a gun and shot three times at the thieves. One of them managed to run away and the other one was shot by all the three bullets. The hurt robber fell about 150 meters away from the store. The policeman did not chase after the robber who ran away because he stayed at the store to help the injured employer.

Both injured were taken to the hospital. The girl died a bit later and it became known that the injured robber is a 23 year old Albanian. The gun, which was fired during the robbery, was with him. An autopsy will be done today to the murdered Anastasia Gini, after which a ballistic expertise of the bullet will be done, in order to find out how exactly it was shot out.

This is the second incident with a not on duty policeman, who interferes in a robbery. Last week a civil policeman lost his life when he tried to stop a bank robbery.
