The efforts of the Greek police are concentrated on the identity of the blond lady, between 35-40 years old, foreigner, probably Albanian, who is the key figure in the prison break of the two most dangerous gangsters in Greece – Vasilis Paleokostas and his Albanian friend Alket Rizay. The police is impressed by the equanimity and intrepidity, with which the woman managed the operation, which shows a very criminal mind and strong character from the heights of Paleokostas and Rizay themselves.

Few weeks ago, the woman showed up at the private airline company Interjet, introduced herself with the name Alexandrova and showed a passport, which later on came out to be fake. She had hired a helicopter few times to the winter resort in Arahova. The explanation she has given to the company was that she has a lover, with whom she meets there and she is using a helicopter so her jealous husband will have a harder time finding out. “Alexandrova” managed to create a trust relationship between her and the employees of the company just like between an ordinary regular client and a place, which offers good service.

On the day of the escape, Mrs. Alexandrova went to Interjet with a man, who she introduced to be her husband. As always, she hired the helicopter to Arahova. Not long after takeoff, the pilot understood this was a different type of flight. The two passengers were sitting at the back seats and a little bit after takeoff Alexandrova pressed a handmade grenade at the pilot’s neck and ordered him to fly towards “Koridalos” prison. Throughout the whole time, she was talking on her phone and sending and receiving instant messages. When they reached the prison, she ordered the pilot to land on a very specific place on the roof.

From there on, her actions remind of a Hollywood action movie. The blond woman gets off the helicopter, which has its engines on all the time. The strong wind from the propellers prevents her from keeping her balance but she acts fast and skilful. She ties a rope ladder on one side of the helicopter and lets the end of it down. After 20 seconds Alket Rizay climbs up the ladder and gets into the chopper. Vasili Paleokostas is about 30-40 seconds late and Alexandrova yells: “Vasili, hurry up!” Paleokostas also appears and gets in the helicopter. The woman is left alone on the roof. The first shots from the security are heard. This does not bother her and unties the rope ladder from the helicopter. It takes her about 20 seconds to do it. One of the bullets hit the machine. Rizai’s voice is heard: “Hurry, hurry!” The woman get on the helicopter and it manages to fly off exactly when the first warder gets to the roof.

The pilot shared all those details with the investigator. According to him, the woman was talking to Rizay on the phone. He on the other hand was using a hand watch, which was also a cell phone. The police do not know who the blond woman is. They show four photographs to the pilot, of women who have had relationships with Rizay and two of women who were close to Paleokostas but the pilot does not recognize the blond woman among them. What the authorities believe is that Alexandrova is an ethnic Albanian, who is close to Alket Rizay. A check-up was done on who visited both criminals and it comes out that most women had used fake IDs.
