A witness of the murder of 16 year old Alexandros Grigoropoulos testifies in front of the investigator. She gave in a third fired cartridge, which was found in the area of the fatal shooting on December 6th in the Athens neighborhood Ekzarhia. Until now, the defendants confessed about two shots by the presumed killer Epaminondas Korkoleas. It does not become clear whether the third bullet is also shot by him or his colleague Vassilios Saraliotis.

The notorious ballistic expertise, for which everybody is talking but no one has seen, should be presented in front of the investigator today. According to the conclusions by medical examiner Hristos Levkidis, the bullet entered into the child’s chest from the left and has pierced the heart and the aorta. According to specialists similar traumas lead to non-recoverable internal bleeding. The aorta is the biggest blood vessel in the human’s body with a diameter, which can reach to 32 millimeters. Its piercing can lead to death in one minute.

The two policemen, charged with the murder of Alexandros Grigoropoulos testified for a second time in front of the investigator. They, as well as their attorney Alexis Kouyas, insist on being released on bail because until this moment “they haven’t even violated the traffic regulations.” The questioning of Alexandros’ best friend confirms the policemen’s theory that before going to Ekzarhia during the fatal night, the 16 year old boy was in indoor pool Halandri where he saw a game of water polo with friends.

The defendants challenge most of the rest witness testimonies, as well as the video shot with a mobile phone, which shows how the presumed killer points his gun towards the nothing expecting underage student. According to the defendants, between the mobile phone and the policeman there is a human figure, which is on the way and the shooting is not clear. The arrested policemen call the journalists, who are covering the story, “TV judges” and repine at the Minister of Internal Affairs Prokopsis Pavlopoulos, who according to them did not defend them with the innocent before proven guilty presumption.

The student protest continue and today. There will be two new demonstrations in the center of Athens around noon.
