If you have plans to travel from Thessaloniki to Athens during any of the remaining weekends of November, keep in mind that the Tempe passage is closed for repairs. It will be closed every Saturday night for 12 hours, starting from today November 15th from 20:00 until 08:00 on Sunday morning. The passage will be closed during the same hours on 22nd-23rd and 29th-30th of November. This means that the Athens-Thessaloniki highway will be closed from the Tempe toll station (382.6km) until the Stomiou intersection (391.7). The traffic will be diverted through the parallel roads, from the Larissa beaches to Katerini-Elassona. More traffic police will be present on the road.
