The new champion in the Cadre 47/2 category is Frederic Caudron from Belgium. The silver medal was won by Xavier Gretillat from Switzerland and third place was for Patrick Niessen from Belgium and Marek Faus from the Czech Republic.
The tournament took place in Barrage club in Athens and was organized by the sports director of the Billiard Federation – Makis Papadopoulos.
More players than expected took part in the tournament – 60 players from 10 countries. There were many players from France and Belgium. The games started with qualifying rounds, which led to the final where the billiard players with better ranks entered directly.
The surprise in this championship was the team from the Czech Republic. The champion from the country Marek Faus showed a very good play, style and technique, which made him the audience’s favorite.
More than one hundred sport fans were present at the final game and a team from Nova Sport reported the event. Competing with each other were Frederic Caudron and Xavier Gretillat. The result was 300 – 28/2 innings.
