At exactly 7 pm all Greek TV stations showed the total exit poll, which took place at polling stations across the country. According to unofficial results the winner of the very important elections in Greece is New Democracy with a rate of between 17-20 percent. The far right coalition SYRIZA is the second party with a result that could vary from 15.5 to 18.5 percent.

The third parliamentary force, according to preliminary results, is PASOK with a rate of between 14 and 17 percent. As expected, the biggest surprise is the high score of the far-right xenophobic party “Golden Dawn”, which is winning 6 to 8 percent of the votes.

The newly formed party "Independent Greeks" of Panos Kamenos will also be able to enter parliament with rates of between 10 and 12 percent. The Communist Party has won between 8.5 and 10.5 percent and the Democratic Left - 4.5 to 6.5 percent.

A big fight is arising between the far right LAOS, the Green Ecologists and the Democratic Alliance, which all have results of between 2.5 and 3 percent and it is unclear whether they will be able to step over the touchy threshold and enter parliament.

Representatives of poll agencies predict a long election night, where literally every vote can make the difference. The first official results are expected around 9.30 pm.

All agree that after today's elections the Greek political spectrum will completely change. What is not so clear is whether tomorrow Greece will have a government.

An indicator of the shock and confusion was an order by PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos to all party candidates, to stop their appearances in TV discussions, which are traditionally held by Greek television channels after the election race.
