The Greek child protection organization "The Smile of the Child" has sent an Amber Alert for Phivos Lesi, aged 4, who was kidnapped by his father in the village of Ormilia, Halkidiki.

The child was kidnapped on 6 January at 07:00 pm when 34-year-old Albanian citizen James Lesi broke into the house where his 41-year-old wife of Greek origin lived with their two children aged 4 and 6.

Passers-by doubted that something strange was happening in the house and informed the police station of Halkidiki. Upon arriving there, however, the police found the woman dead, in a pool of blood. According to the forensic report, the attacker stabbed his wife six times with a knife that was found near her body.

Then he took with him the younger of his two children and disappeared. The police operations in northern Greece to find James Lesi are continuing.

"The Smile of the Child" in turn is warning of "serious concerns that the child may be in danger because of the particular circumstances of the kidnapping and the fact that the father killed the mother."

Phivos Lesi is 1 m tall, weighs 15 kg, has a fair complexion, brown eyes and black hair. His father James Lesi is 1.73 m tall, weighs 85 kg and has brown eyes and brown curly hair.
