Lanslide killed a tourist at Santorini

A 52-year-old man from the United States became the unintended victim of a landslide on the volcanic island of Santorini in Greece. He was a tourist who had decided to visit with his family the island with the most beautiful sunset before the height of the summer heat.

The tourists went for a walk with donkeys on the crest of the Santorini volcano . The path going towards the port Armeni in the region of Ia ghi they were  by a great landslide of rocks and soil, which took the live of the American and caused minor injuries to his 51-year-old wife and his 20-year-old daughter. Together with the family there were two young girls at the age of 20 who were als on vacation and received minor injuries. According to the report of Alpha TV the landslides in this region are very rare. The piece of ground broke from a height of about 30 meters above the mountain path and dragged the man down at 3.20 pm. At the place arrived nine firefighters with three cars in order to rescue the man, but after they took him out on the surface they discovered that he had already died. All the injured were taken to the Clinical Center of Tira for detailed examinations.
