The maniac shooter testified in front of the 16th ranked investigator, who wounded four people on the streets of Athens around Christmas. He was sent for protective custody in a prison after common decision of the prosecutor and the investigator for five attempted murders and violation of the law for gun ownership.

After prosecutor granted the request of Brestas for 24 hours delay of his presentation in front of the investigator, 31 years old taxi driver showed up, but he could not explain his behavior last week, when he shot from his jeep people on the streets.

His lawyers asked for medical inference of a psychiatrist. In their request they announce that their client does not understand the nature and the reason for the accusations. They also say he is not able to testify about his actions. They insist Brestas to be temporarily held in the police and not to be sent in prison because sending there a person who suffers from paranoia is a violation of European convention of human rights.

For 3 years Brestas has been very aggressive. Reason for the change in his behavior was a disappointment in his love life. Probably Brestas suffers a psychological disease. His parents treated him by putting pills in his food without his knowledge. Complications in his conditions occurred when few months ago his mother told him that he is taking medications and that he alone has to take care of his health. Brestas’ girlfriend is also talking about odd features in his character. She describes him as odd and introvert, without friends.
