A mobilized and concentrated Spanish team, managed to defeat Greece 82-64 at the Eurobasket championship in Katowice. The Greek players seemed tired and powerless to avoid defeat, and now have to hope for the bronze. To achieve bronze, the Greeks have to beat Slovenia tonight at 7:30 pm. In the meantime, Spain will have to challenge Serbia for the gold.

The perfect Spanish defence proved to be bullet-proof, while Greeks struggled to complete their passes, and Spanoulis and Zisis were obviously tired since the tricky victory against Turkey. The score at the end of each quarter was 26-21, 49-40, 64-51, 82-64. Pau Gasol of the LA Lakers led the Spanish with 18 points, while Portland Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez scored 14.
