The Service to Combat Terrorism found a bomb with a time mechanism under the seat of a railcar travelling on its route from the neighbourhood of Egaleo to the International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". The explosive device was discovered at the last stop in the neighborhood Egaleo. The train had just returned from the station at the Ministry of Defence and was getting ready to start its next course.
The official message of the police points out that there were 5 litres of highly inflammable fluid in the package, an electrical ignition device and a clock. It was ready to explode after a predetermined period of time.
The package had been identified by the driver of the railcar, who had been inspecting the carriages before beginning his next course. Then he informed the police and they in turn informed  – the Service to Combat Terrorism. The police are extremely concerned by the conclusions of the experts that the bomb had not exploded due to an error in the connections. Currently the police are investigating the Metro camcorders in order to find some information about those who have left the package in the railcar, and sappers are trying to find out what time the timer was programmed for.
    Expect further details.
