Eating healthily at the weekend

You don’t need to make any special effort to eat a healthy diet at the weekend. It is enough to watch out for things that will help you stay healthy and elegant.

The truth is that everyone has the right to sin from time to time, but if it happens every weekend, it will become more difficult.

Just consider all the efforts you made during the week, do not fail at the weekend and there will be no remorse on Monday.

Be careful what you buy

Going to the supermarket on Saturday morning, avoid shelves with sweets, chocolates and pastries. If you walk past them, they will end up in your trolley, and then in your kitchen, in your stomach and on your nerves. At the weekend we spend a lot of time at home, so snacking increases. Make sure there are no temptations in your kitchen and your refrigerator. Eat fruit and vegetables instead. When you feel like something sweet make yourself a fruit salad and enjoy it.

Do not skip breakfast

We do not want you to wake up at 7 am to follow the weekly programme. But even at 10 am breakfast will help you start the day with energy. Do not miss it just drinking coffee and enjoy it even on a day when you have time and do not have to eat it on foot. Avoid processed and fatty foods and instead of eggs and bacon eat a sandwich with brown bread, turkey and lettuce, add orange juice and coffee with as little sugar as possible.

Have a walk ... after you have had enough food

If you must go out shopping or for a walk, make sure you have a full stomach. A walk will provoke your appetite, so all pastry shops, fast food outlets and sweetshops will tempt you as you pass. As it is possible to buy something to eat of dubious quality instead of clothes, make sure not to leave the house hungry.

Spoil yourself (slightly)

If all week you have been depriving yourself of all sweet things, allow yourself a little bit of dark chocolate or ice cream without syrup at the weekend. Many times the only thing we lack is taste, not quantity. Enjoying something sweet, always with moderation, satisfy your wish and you will reduce the chances of coming off your diet.

Be careful what you order

If you eat out, you can also enjoy a healthy meal that is still delicious. So be careful what you order and how you eat. Do not take just any salad, not all of them are healthy - dressings, bacon and croutons increase calories and fat. Choose one that does not contain many extras and is mainly of vegetables. For the main course, avoid carbonara, stuffed cutlets and prefer simple things without cream cheese and sauces. A good choice is fish soup, meat with vegetables, risotto with seafood. Watch for quantities as well. If you have been served a large dish - eat a normal amount and take home the rest.
