Dora Bakogiannis requires a prosecutor's verification on "the case of the deputy, who exported one million euro"

Policy series, which we could surely entitle "I know who the deputy-millionaire is, but I do not tell," continues, although its main characters were finally revealed yesterday. The second part is already running on the television and the leader of Democratic Alliance Dora Bakogiannis has resorted to a counterattack.

Today, she met with the prosecutor of the Supreme Court Ioannis Tendes and required a verification to be carried out of the chairman of the commission fighting the legalization of funds from illegal activities Panagiotis Nikoloudis. Earlier, her husband, Isidoros Kouvelos stated that his activity is completely legal and it was described in the tax return of his wife.

In her written request, Dora Bakogiannis attacked the chairman of the "dirty money" finding commission and accused him of involvement in a "pathetic attempt" to smear her name and that of Democratic Alliance.

"This is about an inappropriate government functionary, who should be investigated for serious disciplinary and possibly criminal violations, because I believe that the investigation will prove the existence of fraudulent intent on his part. Evidence for this is that he let the truth be oppressed for seven days without doing anything. "

In an interview with radio Vima fm, her husband Isidoros Kouvelos asked rhetorically, "If I wanted to protect my money from the Greek crisis, couldn’t I leave it in New York?" He noted that his name was involved in the case of deputies exporting money abroad only because he is the husband of Dora Bakogiannis. "It seems a mistake to marry a politician. Unfortunately, we live in Greece, where the clear things are an unknown magnitude. This is ridiculous and shameful."

Isidoros Kouvelos said he was ready to provide all details requested in response to the statement of deputy speaker of Parliament Evangelos Argyris, that he would be called to give a written explanation for the financial operation.

In her angry reaction yesterday, Dora Bakogiannis attacked not only the commission chairman, but also  Evangelos Argyris.

"How is it possible to tell us a whole week that it is a deputy and finally, we learn that all the fuss is for a business activity?," said Dora Bakogiannis and called Panagiotis Nikoloudis to appear in parliament and tell "who exactly had informed him of the existence of such a financial transaction."

"It did not occur to me at all that it is about the legitimate activity of my husband. I think investing in Greek shipping is completely moral and I think the right to marry a businessman without having any connection with your political activities is moral too. I have declared every single euro and I will not allow anyone to tarnish my career. I do not allow to be placed in the centre of any game between the two major parties that I "hurt" with my statements about their funds," said the chairwoman of Democratic Alliance.
