Davutoglu arrived in Athens

The plane of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu had landed at Athens airport shortly after 3:00 pm. His two-day visit to Athens began with a meeting with Greece’s President Karolos Papoulias, which was scheduled for 4:00 pm.

Later, Davutoglu will meet with his Greek counterpart Antonis Samaras. Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries Evangelos Venizelos and Mevlut Cavusoglu will attend their meeting at the Prime Minister's residence Maximou as well.

At 8:30 pm, the four will set off to a hotel in the centre of Athens, where the two Prime Ministers will greet the participants in the Greece - Turkey Business Forum.

The third meeting of the Supreme Council for Cooperation between Greece and Turkey will start at 10:00 am on Saturday and it will be chaired by the two Prime Ministers.

Afterwards, Samaras and Davutoglu will make statements to the media.
 
According to sources, the Turkish Prime Minister will also meet with leader of the Greek opposition Alexis Tsipras, who tomorrow will return to Athens from Belgrade. The meeting will take place at 3:00 pm at the airport, before Ahmed Davutoglu departs for Ankara. The same sources state that the two will discuss the bilateral relations and the Cyprus issue.
