At the same time, the employees of all types of public transport are continuing their strike actions. On Tuesday they will stop working for five hours from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm. In this period no public transport means - metro, electric railway, trams, buses and trolleys, will run their routes. Only the suburban train and the rail transport will operate normally. At twelve o’clock the employees will hold a protest rally outside the Ministry of Transport.
On Thursday they will participate in the general strike announced by the unions of public sector workers (ADEDY) and of private sector workers (GSEE) against the pension reform.
Trolleys and the rail transport will not operate on that day. Buses will run from 09:00 am to 09:00 pm. The underground, electric train and trams will run from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm. Taxis will not operate either.
It is expected that flights will be carried out normally that day as the air traffic controllers probably will not participate in the strike.
