After a decision by the Academic Council the Athens University of Economy will be closed today. This action came as a result against the violence in the university buildings from last Friday, when students were hurt and some of them needed to be taken to a hospital. The Academic Council convicted what happened and together with the student union and all members of the student community, will work hard to support the studying process without such accidents.

There is also tension in Thessaloniki after the beginning of the school year. The attempts to stop the school blockades did not succeed and Chief prosecutor of the Thessaloniki court made a document, which includes that authorities have to fill out criminal charges sheets in all cases, where classes are interrupted, independently of whether the director of the school complained or not. The prosecutor also ordered that any arrests can be made in cases suitable for this action.

The student community demands that the problem with lack of school buildings should be solved, because right now schools have to work on two shifts with many students and classes.
