With 2:0 ended the match for the playoffs phase between football teams of Aris and Olympiacos. Tonight's victory brought joy to the yellow team, which just few days ago for one more time in their history, lost the chance to win the Cup of Greece. The immense joy of the hosts could be seen on the field. This was the first match of the team in the playoffs phase. With its victory last night Aris won 3 points and managed to qualify before the team of AEK, which ranked last with 2 points.

While creating good goal situations, the team of Olympiacos could not score. The goal attempts either ended at the hands of goal keeper Sifakis or at the crossbar. So it was during the first and the second half. Despite the attacking game luck definitely was not on Olympiacos’ side. The shown image, however, proved that despite luck, the team lacked coordinated game...

The match began with a dynamic game from both teams. Olympiacos tried to score in the door of Aris from the beginning of the game. It noted greater involvement in the game, with more positions to score. Nevertheless, the white-reds did not have a chance. However, the yellow team made two good goal attempts by players Koke and Neto. Though, the attempts were not successful because the distance between the ball and the door was great.

The first goal of the night was scored by the hosts during the 40th minute. The goal was scored by striker Adu. The white-reds did not take much time with their counterattack. During the 42nd minute Raul Bravo made another goal attempt. However, the ball ended up too close to the beam and without a problem Sifakis saved it. So the first half ended with 1:0 for the hosts.

The attacks of both teams lasted during the second half as well. Darbisair tried to score at Sifakis’ door in the 7th minute but the goalkeeper saved the ball. Just two minutes later striker Koke tried to score in Nikopolidis’ door, but he also saved the ball.

The game had become fast and the attacks had no end. At all costs the white-reds aimed to equalize the result and they constantly found themselves in front of Aris’ door. The hosts, however, also played a particularly offensive game. So literally during the last minutes of the game Johnson scored the second goal for the evening, which led to the change of the team’s playoffs ranking...
