Sexy scenes in shabby artistic urban style. Colour sprays on the walls and funny small sofas to lie down folded in two. Chords of ...carpet-beater instead of guitar. TV set turned aside and... stump instead of drums. Who else we could talk about if not дne of our chart’s favourite Melisses and their new video Epikindina filia. Those who have seen the video know what we are talking about and those who haven’t have to hurry to see it. The special kisses from the title of the song really become dangerous сn such an atmosphere of dangerous eroticism. But not so much, because the cute guys of the band are giving them. And with their really funny ideas like to pull a funny white sock on the legs of the sofa they rather remain faithful to their playful style and boyish larky character.

They demonstrateд their particular style from the very foundation of the group. They, however, had to grapple with a serious problem after founding it. And what could it be for the carefree merry guys? To figure out the name of the group! A bunch of names flocked the heads of the playful boys. One of them was Playmobil. They did not choose any of them despite the storm of ideas. But the chance had its saying. They loved to do afternoon walks in the area of Tisio in Athens. Once, while they were walking they saw a honey seller who said: “Here's the tasty honey.’ The seller’s sweet honey made them call...bees. Nutty heads don’t need much…

So, Melisses or Bees appear on the Greek music stage. The five boys, Christ Mastoras, Pantelis Kiramargios, Yakovos Sampsakis, Thanasis Laitsas and Konstantinos Mavrogenis grabbed young people’s hearts this summer with their song Krifa (Secretly). "When we are dancing secretly, you embrace my body, your eyes and kiss make me crazy. Your touch excites me, your lips are flame that makes me burn." This chorus of the first hit of the composition brings a fresh, summer rhythm; you can still listen to it through the streets of the city. Even as a ringtone on the mobile phone of someone struck by a bright young love. The music has a pretty good rhythm and easily sneaks into people's souls.

Melisses is a typical band in the spirit of youth. Greek media define the style of the boys even slightly Scandinavian or British. Mainly because of their playful music and stage behavior.  They, themselves, did say that their goal is to make music in their own way. Although quite at the onset of their career, they received the MAD Video Music Awards prize last summer for best new artist.

The boys appeared for the first time in Mad Day Live. Then followed other performances during which the music company Universal noticed them and offered them a contract. The merry guys presented Greece in the 55^th Eurovision song contest. Their song Kinezos, for which they wrote the music and the lyrics, did not win. George Alkeos with ORA ranked for the competition in Oslo in May.
