A 2-year-old boy from Bulgaria was splashed with hot coffee while his grandmother was arguing with her employer because of his refusal to pay her the money owed.

According to a publication in the newspaper Patris, last week 60-year-old Radka Georgieva went to her former employer in the village of Pyrgos in the Peloponnese to ask him to give her the sum of 120 euro. He should have paid the money to her two years ago and whenever she attempted to receive it, the employer responded that he had no financial capacity to give it to her.

This time the woman went to look for him together with her nephew, taking her two-year-old grandchild with her as well. Shortly after the beginning of the conversation, the two had a quarrel and, according to the woman, the employer hurled at her a pot full of hot coffee. The liquid burnt both her and the child that she held in her hands.

Radka Georgieva told the newspaper that subsequently her former employer had tried to attack her again but her nephew protected her and brought her out of the house.

The child burnt with coffee was taken to Pyrgos hospital but at the discretion of the doctors there, he was transported to the University Hospital of Patras.
