Russian mafia of “Taro” is clashing with the organization of “Little Japanese” and “Grandpa Hassan”! In the last days the Greek police got information about the bloody clash between Russia gangsters throughout the country.

As revealed, the 46-year-old Russian from Abkhazia, who was killed in early May in the Athens suburb of Voula, was a member of the Russian family of Tariel Oniani or “Taro”. The murder is connected with other crimes in Moscow, Marseille and other cities in Europe and obviously it is a vendetta between two Russian families. Russian police informed its Greek colleagues that most likely Russian criminal organizations operating in Europe carried out other killings in Greece, Vima newspaper reported.

The 46-year-old man was killed on the evening of May 10, 2010 at the entrance of a residential building, where he had his own apartment. According to police killers were waiting for him in ambush and the moment they saw him come out of the door they shot him with three bullets. According to initial information the man had lived by the name Malfatz Kalpakidis originating from Abkhazia, but a resident of Moscow. Over the past two years he frequently visited Greece with a woman and her two children, especially in summer. The woman told the police that the Abkhazian was a balanced person, but she does not know what was his job.

Based on the information gathered the police revealed that the 46-year-old man actually was the Russian “Baron” of the underworld Malkhaz Kitia known as “Makhonia”. His murder was part of a war between two criminal organizations – that of Tariel Oniani against Aslan Usoyan known as “Grandpa Hassan” along with Yavonslav Ivankov known as the “Little Japanese”, who was murdered in Moscow in 2009

Tariel Oniani is Georgian, which moved to Paris in the ‘90-ies and then to Spain, where he acquired the shares of a private aviation company while at the same time had a construction business. He was accused by the Spanish authorities for conducting illegal activities and money laundering, and his name was on the Interpol list of the most wanted criminals. In 2005 he returned to Moscow, where he started the war between him and the other mafia clan of Usoyan and Ivankov. At a meeting in 2008 the bosses of the both groups decided to enter into a kind of peace agreement. Then, in the summer of 2009, Ivankov was shot in front of a bar in Moscow. After that his partner Usoyanl, or Grandpa Hassan, ordered the abolishment of all those working for Onoani. From that day on began the second part of the war between the two criminal gangs, whose action is developing across Europe.

Tthe case does not end with the assassination of the Georgian in Greece and the action is transferred to Thessaloniki. According to police information the family of Grandpa Hassan has office in Thessaloniki. There it is presented by a 36-year-old Russian businessman who owns gas stations and trucks. He is considered one of the main organizers of the assassination of the Georgian in Athens, but on May 25 the 36-year-old man was found dead as result of a heart attack. Nevertheless, the Greek authorities are also working on versions according to which he might be a victim of the war between the two clans.
