Poachers poison foxes not to prevent their hunting

Non-government organizations cooperate with government services, because there is no other way to deal with poaching and this type of crime. That is why we seek to announce such events because their publicity is a warning to poachers that their violations do not remain unnoticed. Making public such an event triggers other control schemes too. Now, an investigation is coming and I hope it will be productive. A few years ago, there was a conviction for a similar event in the municipality of Magnisias. Therefore, results can be achieved when there is good will.

Would you tell us more about your organization?

We have been members of an environmental association for wild nature since 2004. We operate in Northern Greece and our group consists of scientists and experts in environmental protection and conservation of local ecosystems, with extensive experience in the field. The main objectives of the organization are to protect the environment as a public good and to exercise control in making decisions related to the environment and quality of life.

Thanks to the dedication of the people we work with, Callisto has actively intervened in the protection of wildlife and environment. We focus our activity on large mammals, bears and wolves and their peaceful co-existence with people.
