For gourmet dishes visit Interni with its Mediterranean cuisine and beautiful garden (www.interni-restaurant.gr/). At Matsuhisa you will probably try the best sushi and most delicious Japanese dishes (www.belvederehotel.com/nobu-matsuhisa-mykonos). Sea Satin Market is a fish restaurant, favoured by those who want to taste fresh fish and seafood served on impressive platters (www.caprice.gr/gr/website/page-19).

Nightlife

For many people, Mykonos’s nightlife is the main reason to visit the island. Its fame can be compared only to that of Ibiza, and tourists from around the world come here to experience some of the best nightlife entertainment ever.

The fun starts early, on the hot sand under the sun. The clubs at Super Paradise (www.superparadise.com.gr) and Paradise (www.paradiseclubmykonos.com) offer unforgettable parties with a strong beat, notable DJ sets, and a lot of dancing and eccentric shows. After the sun goes down, the heart of the nightlife moves to Chora, where at Alefkandra in Little Venice you will gradually feel the atmosphere with a light drink, and then you will stay until dawn in Choras’s bars.

Caprice (www.caprice.gr/) and Galleraki (http://galleraki.gr/) are just a few of the best choices, and Scarpa is known for its small garden and impressive fruity cocktails.

In Matoyani, Joy and Cosi (www.cosi.gr/) are small bars, ideal for those who want to watch passers-by, and Aegli remains a favourite place for Greek tourists.

Jackie O (www.jackieomykonos.com) in Yialos is the gay centre on the island, and Piato Style right next to it (www.facebook.com / stylpiato) is this year's new restaurant with Greek music, which has already won its place in the nightlife. Talami in Alefkandra is the classic place for late hours.

If you have visited all the bars of Chora but still want to have fun, you can dance till you drop in some of the biggest clubs of the island to the sounds of famous DJs. Paradise (www.paradiseclubmykonos.com) will heat you up with a strong beat and up the cliff Cavo Paradiso (www.cavoparadiso.gr), with its lovely view, just confirms the fact that it is one of the 100 best clubs in the world.

And so the story goes…

Information about your stay on the island can be found on the municipal website www.mykonos.gr.
