The most glamorous event of the season – the wedding of Nikolaos Glücksburg and Tatiana Blatnik, will be held under strict security measures, as royals from all over Europe are expected to arrive, Arab sheikhs and Greek shipping megistanes. The couple will be married in the small St. Nicholas church. Their witnesses will be only around 30 people and all the other guests and journalists will follow the sacrament on large screens placed in the church yard.

The wedding itself will be an afternoon one. The bridegroom will arrive from Porto Heli to the island of Spetses by a wooden yacht and the bride will get to the church in a carriage. According to the Greek media, the attending guests are around 380 people. Most of them will stay at the Poseidon Hotel built on the model of the Grand Hotel in Cannes. The after wedding party will take place in the "ranch" of the Koutsis – one of the oldest families on the island and also old friends of the Greek royal family. Such a large secular event will be organized for the first time in the ranch of the Koutsis and the exquisite menu of Ekali club will welcome the guests. The dress code requirements for the party will be very stringent – women must have long dresses and cavaliers – tuxedos.

There will be strict security measures at head state level for the protection of Queen Margaret of Denmark, which is the groom's aunt by the mother’s side. No such measures will be taken for the other groom's aunt - the Spanish Queen Sofia, as she will arrive without her husband Juan Carlos. The rumors spread among the Greek media tell that Queen Elizabeth or Prince Charles with his wife Camilla is possible to arrive incognito. It is being supposed they might come to the island of Spetses by helicopter for greater security, but the Greek police are not informed so far. Most of the guests are the same age as the newlyweds. Among them are many Greek and foreign businessmen arriving by their luxury yachts to the small Aegean island near Athens since yesterday. The shipping magnates of the families Livanos, Latsis, Vardinoyanis, Gulandris, Niarhos, Lemos are among the Greeks invited.

About 20 super luxury yachts, which are shipping the wedding guests, are expected on Spetses today. They will be anchored in specific locations so as to be well protected with the help of the diving team at the port authorities. The music for the evening party has been chosen by Dennis Muzakis. He is famous for his skills to combine Greek and foreign music very well and for making the guests of many private parties entertain. He chose special tunes for the dance of the newlyweds tonight. The favour boxes for the guests were assigned to the cares of Kostas Kessaris and Antonis Vourakis as protothema.gr revealed. The first witnesses of the couple will receive gifts prepared by Vourakis – they will get cufflinks with the couple’s monograms, combined with turquoise and wood. There will be little jewels for the guests too – silver bracelets adorned with small sea snails are prepared for the ladies and the men will be gifted rosaries in nautical style again. Тhe party decorator is Faye Validi the name of which is connected with numerous successful parties in recent years.
