Greece will need several election races in order to reach a new political stability

But we should consider that even the parties are different. They themselves have not yet realized what happened to them. Here is an example: SYRIZA, which was extremely dynamic in recent days. 80% of the people who voted for it did so for the first time. Imagine the mentality of a child aged 4.5 years, because that was the percentage of SYRIZA at the previous elections, waking up and being 16. And everyone is asking what it will do, how it will rule, etc. When we say PASOK, New Democracy and SYRIZA, we do not mean what we thought yesterday. I think the parties need time to realize what happened on 6 May.

Before the elections, SYRIZA said it had a programme and requested a vote of confidence to lead the country along the "other road," which they think is appropriate.

We'll see how the party leader will manage to form a government. Political developments are underway and all options are open. Having in mind the statements by political leaders, the possibility of forming a sustainable government seems quite a complex task.

Do you see changes taking place in the parties themselves? Is yesterday's failure of Antonis Samaras to form a government his personal failure?

Yes, it is quite possible. Mr. Samaras had set the bar too high. At the beginning of the campaign, he was talking about an independent government. He failed not only to achieve his purpose, but receded from one such opportunity. His judgment, which was apparently based on something, was completely wrong.

The problem is that when Mr. Samaras took New Democracy it had its lowest election result historically – 33% of the votes. Instead of keeping or increasing the popularity of the party, he achieved Sunday's result.

Here I would like to point out that the problem is greater for Antonis Samaras than for Evangelos Venizelos. Other issues can be raised in PASOK such as whether he or George Papandreou is responsible for the failure of PASOK. This is the party that tried to take on the burden of introducing these changes. Therefore, this result is quite normal and expected, even in this extreme version.
