Four newborn babies died from microbe infection in the Athenian hospital Älexandra”. A team of microbiologists, epidemiologists, pediatricians and pathologists visited the hospital yesterday afternoon and confirmed that the reasons for the deaths is the microbe serratia. The babies were given the best therapy but unfortunately it did not help.

All hospital rooms were cleaned and in their conclusion experts say that the situation in the hospital is good but a more strict application of the health code is needed. They have required the hospital to be cleaned pedantically and everything to be sterilized.

The microbe serratia was found in another three babies but their health for now is good. Due to prophylactic reasons, in order for the spread of the microbe to be avoided, they have been isolated from the rest of the children in the hospital. A special medical team is taking care of them, who are not in contact with the other babies in the hospital.
