Foreign Media Fiercely Criticized the Greek Nationals. Alexis Dzorvas: "Criticism of the team is illogical"

”Republic of Korea caused new civil uprising in Greece” is the provocative title of  www.sportline.bg. “The 2004 European champion recorded a unique offshoot once it fell from the Republic of Korea with 0:2 at the start of the battle in Group C of the World Cup in South Africa. Now the football fans in our southern neighbor are ready to raise another of their rebellions, but this time against the state team”- says the article. We read further: “The team of Otto Rehhagel was pathetic and did nothing to oppose the crafty Koreans, who did not threw a lot of effort either, but simply took advantage of the foolish mistakes of their opponent.”

Bulgarian Blitz wrote: “The poor performance of the national team of Greece in the World Cups continues after the team’s first match in South Africa. Our southern neighbors lost the match of Group 'C' with South Korea by 0:2. The match was played on the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth, and the Koreans were complete masters of the field all the time.”

Of course Greece hopes that despite the disappointment of the first game, the team will show a better image during the next games. And according to some Greek journalists the too old coach Rehhagel prepares a new tactic – lifting for the team...
